It was learned from Wuhan Customs on September 9 that from January to August this year, the total import and export value of Hubei was 413.81 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.9%. Among them, exports were 280.67 billion yuan, an increase of 33.1%; imports were 133.14 billion yuan, an increase of 8.1%. In August, the total import and export value of Hubei was 63.17 billion yuan, an increase of 37.3%, a record high.
The import and export of general trade increased rapidly. In the first eight months (the same below), Hubei imported and exported 311.38 billion yuan in general trade, accounting for 75.2% of the province's total foreign trade value. In the same period, the import and export of processing trade was 48.24 billion yuan, and the import and export of bonded logistics was 39.88 billion yuan.
Wuhan's foreign trade import and export value was 240.17 billion yuan, accounting for 58% of the province's total import and export value during the same period. The total import and export value of other cities and states accounted for 42% of the total import and export value of Hubei in the same period, and the proportion increased by 3.9 percentage points. Enshi, Ezhou, Qianjiang and Jingmen grew rapidly.

Exports of mechanical and electrical products and labor-intensive products both increased. Hubei exported 134.39 billion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, of which electronic components, automatic data processing equipment and its parts, and automobiles exported 18.99 billion yuan, 16.55 billion yuan, and 6.29 billion yuan respectively. Export labor-intensive products 38.89 billion yuan. Among them, the amount of textiles and plastic products is relatively large.
