From January to July this year, the total import and export value of Hubei Province was 350.57 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.7%. The scale of foreign trade exceeded 350 billion yuan, the best level in history for the same period, and contributed to stabilizing the macroeconomic market. To achieve this 350 billion yuan, the stable international trade "circle of friends" has contributed greatly.

The new crown pneumonia epidemic and other factors have led to an increase in external environmental risks and challenges, but the global economy is still showing a recovery trend, and the international market demand has remained relatively stable. From January to July, the top three traditional export markets of ASEAN, the European Union and the United States all maintained growth. The bilateral trade value was 52.67 billion, 42.9 billion and 41.68 billion yuan respectively, up 32%, 12.7% and 5.9% respectively.

Traditional markets continue to be deeply cultivated, and emerging markets are also constantly being developed. In the first seven months, Hubei's exports to Latin America and Africa achieved rapid growth, increasing by 52.3% and 69.1% respectively, which were 21 and 37.8 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of the province's exports. During the same period, Hubei Province’s total import and export to the other 14 RCEP member countries was 104.66 billion yuan, an increase of 19.5%, accounting for 29.9% of the province’s total import and export value during the same period. In addition, the total import and export of countries along the “Belt and Road” was 98.38 billion yuan, an increase of 31.6%.
