The main features of Hubei's foreign trade from January to July 2022 are:

Imports and exports by general trade account for over 70%. From January to July, the import and export of Hubei Province by general trade was 263.4 billion yuan, an increase of 24.2%, accounting for 75.1% of the province's total foreign trade value (the same below). Among them, exports were 183.3 billion yuan, an increase of 33.4%; imports were 80.1 billion yuan, an increase of 7.2%. In addition, the import and export of processing trade was 42.19 billion yuan, an increase of 9.3%, accounting for 12%. The import and export of bonded logistics was 35.7 billion yuan, an increase of 38.1%, accounting for 10.2%.

The import and export value of the top three markets all achieved growth. From January to July, the top three trading partners of Hubei Province were ASEAN, the European Union and the United States. The bilateral trade value was 52.67 billion, 42.9 billion and 41.68 billion yuan respectively, up 32%, 12.7% and 5.9% respectively. During the same period, Hubei Province’s total import and export to the other 14 RCEP member countries was 104.66 billion yuan, an increase of 19.5%, accounting for 29.9% of the province’s total import and export value during the same period. The growth rate of private enterprises is higher than the overall level. The role of private enterprises in stabilizing foreign trade has been further strengthened. From January to July, Hubei Province imported 23.74 billion integrated circuits, an increase of 22.3%, accounting for 20.8% of the total import value of Hubei Province during the same period, and it is the largest imported commodity in Hubei Province.
