In interpreting the report, Qian Fangli, Director of the Department of Electronic Commerce and Information Technology, said that in the context of the raging epidemic in the century and the major adjustment of the world economy, China's e-commerce development momentum is still strong and resilient, and it has become the key to smooth domestic and international dual circulation. power, and make positive contributions to the good start of the "14th Five-Year Plan".
The report pointed out that the development of e-commerce in 2021 presents nine characteristics: First, new formats and new models drive the continuous growth of e-commerce. The third is that e-commerce helps fight the epidemic and ensure supply, protect people's livelihood and stabilize employment. Seventh, the e-commerce market order and business environment were further improved. Eighth, the top-level design, public service and demonstration system construction have been continuously strengthened. Ninth, Silk Road e-commerce has made new breakthroughs in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". China has established a bilateral e-commerce cooperation mechanism with 23 countries on five continents to jointly strengthen cooperation in planning docking, industrial promotion, and capacity building.
The report shows that in 2021, the national e-commerce transaction volume will reach 42.3 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.6%. Facing the future, the report predicts that the development of e-commerce will usher in four major development trends: play a more important role in building a new development pattern of services, lead and promote the healthy development of the digital economy, move towards a green and sustainable development path, and industry development will become more standardized Healthy and sustainable.
Innovation-oriented, strong stamina
"We are a mobile Internet native company, and 70% of our sales currently come from online platforms." Sun Shijun, co-founder of Adopt a Niu, said that through digital and effective links, we can better grasp the changes in consumers' needs and develop products that are more suitable for consumption. The products of the consumers will increase the momentum of consumption growth. "With the innovation of our model, we have successfully made a breakthrough in the dairy industry where there are many giants."
As an innovative form of e-commerce, live broadcast e-commerce is also accelerating the stimulation of consumption potential. Yin Qiang, vice president of New Oriental Education Technology Group, bluntly said that the "live broadcast economy" has become the general trend of commercial development, and the live broadcast e-commerce sales of Agricultural Products have ushered in a development boom. The live broadcast sales method helps to benefit both producers and consumers. It will continue to create economic value and activate social value. "Currently, our live broadcast account's 'fans' have reached 29 million, 85% of which are active 'fans', and 74% of 'fans' are heavy active users. These 'fans' have a very high repurchase rate and low return rate. The recognition of the selection of the East is very high."
China's e-commerce development is accelerating its global expansion, and its influence continues to increase. Sohail Khan, Deputy Secretary-General of the SCO, said that China has great potential in developing e-commerce, especially cross-border e-commerce can further improve market openness and tolerance. The SCO hopes to strengthen cooperation among member states by sharing practices. , especially in e-commerce and digital economy cooperation, and strive to be in line with China.
At the same time, there are still shortcomings and weaknesses in the development of China's e-commerce. Jiang Xiaojuan, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and vice chairman of the Social Construction Committee, said that China's digital enterprises and e-commerce platforms are developing very well in China, but the current level of globalization is still not enough. For example, there is still much room for improvement in cross-border e-commerce.
In this regard, Jiang Xiaojuan suggested to look at the role of e-commerce platforms from the perspective of digital multinational companies, to promote enterprises to strengthen the construction of compliance management systems for international operations, and to encourage commercial platforms and relevant departments to carry out e-commerce import business models, supervision models and related systems. The innovation of the mechanism allows more localities and enterprises to pilot the cross-border flow of data and clarify the rules and regulations for the overseas operation of digital platforms as soon as possible.
